Woman Awakened By Gunfire Finds Bullet Hole In Bedroom Wall

Hartly- The Delaware State Police are investigating a shots fired incident in which a bullet struck a residence, according to Public Information Officer, Master Corporal Melissa Jaffe.

Jaffe said the incident occurred on August 19, 2019, at approximately 1:15 a.m., when Troopers were dispatched to the unit block of Hazlettville Road, Hartly for a report of shots fired. Upon arrival, Troopers made contact with a 37-year-old female resident who advised that while she was sleeping she heard a gunshot.

Further investigation led to the discovery that a bullet had struck the outside of the residence and traveled through a bedroom wall. There were no reports of injuries as a result of this incident.
