Officials: Cops Find More Than Cheetos In That Bag, Probationer Charged

The Dover Police Department and Delaware Probation and Parole arrested Dandre Chandler, 27, on Wednesday afternoon on drug charges, according to M/Cpl. Mark Hoffman, Public Information Officer.

Hoffman said the incident occurred when Chandler was contacted by Probation and Parole at approximately 4:00 PM in the area of West Loockerman and South New Streets. Chandler dropped a Cheetos bag that contained 39 bags of heroin.

Chandler had also been seen operating a vehicle that was nearby, according to Hoffman. A search warrant was obtained for that vehicle and an additional 113 bags of heroin were located, added Hoffman. Chandler, who was on probation, was issued a Violation of Probation as well.

Chandler was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on the Violation of Probation and $11,500 bond on the following charges:
-Possession of Heroin (Tier 1)
-Possession with Intent to Deliver Heroin
-Drug Paraphernalia
