Police Identify Two Men Gunned Down In Wilmington On Friday

The two men that were shot and killed Friday morning in Wilmington have been identified as 24-year-old Dwayne Britt and 26-year-old Kenneth Hamilton.

Wilmington Police are investigating a fatal shooting incident that occurred at approximately 10:34 a.m. at 5th and Monroe Streets.

Police located two gunshot victims – a 24-year-old male and a 26-year-old male – who were transported to the hospital where they later succumbed to their injuries.

This incident remains under investigation and further details will be released when possible.

Wilmington – Rescue crews from the Wilmington Fire Department, New Castle County Medics and Wilmington Police have responded to 5th and Monroe Streets for reports of a shooting.

Reports from the scene indicate that two people have been shot multiple times. Both patients have suffered serious injuries and are being prepped for transport.
