Suspect Turns Himself In, Charged With Murder One

The Dover Police Department has charged Stefan Rush-Wilson, 21, in the shooting death of Jarmar Richardson, 18, that occurred on Thursday, September 12th, 2019 on Harmony Lane. Rush-Wilson was developed as a suspect a short time after the incident and turned himself into the Dover Police Department on the afternoon of Monday, September 23rd, 2019.

Rush-Wilson was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution in default of $110,000 cash bond on the following charges as a result of the incident:
-Murder 1st Degree
-Possession of Firearm During Commission of Felony

Original Story

The Dover Police Department is investigating a shooting that resulted in the death of a Dover Man on Thursday night, according to M/Cpl. Mark Hoffman, Public Information Officer.

Hoffman said at approximately 10:32 PM, officers responded to the 200 Block of Harmony Lane (The Village at McKee Branch) for shots fired.

Upon their arrival, officers found Jarmar Richardson, 18, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body.

Richardson was transported to Bayhealth Kent General Hospital with where he later succumbed to his injuries.
