County Police Converged On Kiamesi Gardens Tuesday Afternoon

New Castle County Police converged on the Kiamesi Gardens neighborhood in Stanton Tuesday afternoon.

At around 2:30 residents in the area began contacting First State Update to see if we knew why so many police officers and the Mill Creek Ambulance were in the neighborhood.

County police have not released details surrounding the response, however, neighbors said that police were there due to a series of break-ins (Possibly five).

“They said that multiple break-ins were reported around the same time which prompted the response”, said one neighbor that wanted to remain anonymous.

They were patrolling the area looking for the suspect when they saw him. He had just kicked in an elderly woman’s back door, the neighbor said.

This is a developing story and will be updated as more information becomes available.
