Happening Now: Fatal Tractor-Trailer Crash Closed I-95 Near State Line

Elkton – Just after 7:15 Sunday morning, rescue crews from Cecil County and Newark’s Aetna, Hose Hook and Ladder responded to I-95 NB at mile marker 105 (about five miles south of the Delaware State Line) for a motor vehicle accident involving a  tractor-trailer.

While en route crews learned that the tractor-trailer had rolled over and was on fire.

First arriving crews reported that one person had succumbed to their injuries.

Crews also reported heavy entrapment with an active fuel leak. It’s not clear if there is more than one patient.

All lanes of I-95 NB are currently closed at exit 100.

HAZMAT crews are also on scene.

This is a developing story.
