Just before 11:00, Friday morning rescue crews from the Christiana Fire Company and New Castle County Medics responded to the unit block of Chapmen Road for reports of a person struck by a street sweeper.
Initial reports from the scene indicate that the patient was injured after getting got caught under the vehicle.
The patient is currently en route to the Trauma Center at Christiana Hospital.
