Hundreds Without Power Near Elsmere

Wilmington – Delmarva Power is reporting 280 customers are currently without power in the area of Faulkland Road at Oak Hill Drive.

Callers to 911 are reporting a transformer has exploded in the area. Arriving firefighters are reporting that they cannot locate a damaged transformer.

Firefighters are also reporting that the traffic signal at the intersection of Faulkland Road and Oak Hill Drive.

Roughly 25 additional customers are without power in other areas of New Castle County.
