Just In: Injury Accident Closes W Chestnut Hill Road In Newark

At around 10:40 this morning rescue crews from Aetna, Hose, Hook, and Ladder, along with NCC Medics, and Newark Police responded to W Chestnut Hill Road for reports of an injury crash.

While en route crews learned that one patient was reported to be unconscious.

When crews arrived on scene they found one patient that had suffered injuries after crashing into a parked vehicle and began treatment.

The patient was transported to Christiana Hosptial by Aetna ambulance with New Castle County Medics accompanying, according to  Aetna Deputy Chief Jeff Sands.

The roadway was closed while crews worked to treat the patient and clear the scene.
