Police: Man In Relationship With 16-Year-Old, Charged, Released On Own Recognizance

The Dover Police Department arrested 55-year-old Robert Blair for Rape 4th Degree on Wednesday, October 9th, 2019, according to M/Cpl. Mark Hoffman, Public Information Officer.

Hoffman said in January of 2019, detectives were notified that Blair was having a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old female at the time. This relationship was alleged to have occurred between November 2018 and January 2019.

During the course of the investigation, it was learned that the victim was pregnant.

On October 9th, 2019, Blair admitted to the sexual relationship with the minor victim and that the child was possibly his, said Hoffman. Blair was charged with a single count of Rape 4th degree and released on an O.R. Bond.
