Troopers: Man Linked To Multiple October Burglaries

Milton – The Delaware State Police have arrested 36-year-old, Bruce G. Satchell of Milton in connection with multiple burglaries and thefts that took place in Milton and Harbeson over the last two weeks, according to Public Information Officer, Master Corporal Michael Austin.

Austin said between October 6 and October 15, 2019 Troopers investigated 6 separate incidents, 3 of which were residential burglaries that took place in the Milton area as well as 3 incidents in which vehicles were broken into, that occurred in Milton and Harbeson. The initial investigations conducted by the first responding Troopers produced evidence linking the incidents and also developed Satchell as a suspect, according to Austin.

On Friday, October 18, 2019 Troopers located Satchell at his residence in the 28000 block of Fisher Rd., and took him in to custody without incident. Satchell was then transported to Troop 4 where further investigation by detectives from the Criminal Investigations Unit confirmed his involvement in the incidents.

Satchell was charged with the following:

Burglary 2nd Degree (3 counts)
Felony Theft (3 counts)
Misdemeanor Theft (3 counts)
Criminal Mischief (4 counts)
Criminal Trespass (4 counts)

He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court #2 and then committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution on $39,404 cash bail.
