Just after 4:00, this afternoon rescue crews from the Talleyville Fire Company along New Castle County Medics, Delaware State Police and Trooper 4 have responded to Kennet Pike at Kirk Road for reports of a vehicle accident with injuries.
The first arriving Trooper has reported that the vehicle was fire and that he was checking to see if the vehicle was occupied.
The Trooper then reported that the driver was out of the vehicle but was not conscious. It’s unclear if the Trooper pulled the driver from the vehicle.
Talleyville Command has alerted Trooper 4 that they will be utilized. Trooper 4 has just set down near the scene.
Update: Reports from the scene indicate the vehicle went off the road into a tree and burst into flames. Passersby pulled the driver from the vehicle and began CPR.
