Just In: Bicyclist Struck In Newark Transported To Emergency Room

Newark – Just after 7:30 this morning, Tuesday, November 12, 2019, rescue crews from Aetna Hose, Hook, and Ladder along with New Castle County Medics and Newark Police responded to Casho Mill for reports of a bicyclist struck by a vehicle.

Upon their arrival, police reported that the patient was injured and asked for an ambulance. The ambulance, already en route, arrived within minutes and transported the patient to the Trauma Center at Christiana Hospital.

Early reports from the scene indicate that the patient was thrown over the handlebars during the collision and landed in the roadway.

This is the second bicyclist struck in this same general area in the last two weeks.
