Just In: Troopers Investigating Tuesday Morning robbery Attempt

Harrington- The Delaware State Police are investigating an attempted robbery of a Valero Shore Stop that occurred earlier this morning, according to Public Information Officer, Master Corporal Melissa Jaffe.

Jaffe said the incident occurred on November 12, 2019, at approximately 5:19 a.m., when Troopers were dispatched to the Valero Shore Stop located at 16381 S. DuPont Highway, Harrington for a report of a robbery. Upon arrival, Troopers met with a store manager who advised that a subject had entered the store, walked up to the register and demanded money. The manager advised the suspect that there was no money in the register at this time. The suspect never displayed a weapon and proceeded to walk out of the store without obtaining merchandise or cash. The manager was not injured as a result of this incident.

The suspect was described as a white male, approximately 20-30 years old, wearing all dark clothing. The suspect was seen driving away from the area in a black four-door passenger vehicle.
