U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Extends Saint Georges Bridge Repairs End Date

Today the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Philadelphia District and its contractor Freyssinet, Inc. have extended scheduled joint seal repairs on the St. Georges Bridge in Delaware. Work is expected to be completed by Friday December 6, 2019. Operations will be conducted weekdays between the hours of 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Both lanes of the bridge will remain open during the project; however, a lane shift through the bike lane will be enacted. Flaggers will be on hand to halt vehicular traffic to allow bicyclists safe passage when necessary.

This latest round of repairs began on Monday, November 18 and was originally scheduled to end onFriday, November 22.
