Elsmere – Rescue crews have responded to the Elsmere viaduct in the 800 block of Kirkwood Highway for reports of a crash with multiple injuries.
While en route crews are being told that at least one patient is trapped.
Upon arrival, Elsmere Command is reporting a two-vehicle crash blocking both directions of traffic on the bridge.
Command has ordered the road closed and is requesting a salt truck due to ice on the bridge.
Command is asking for a total of three ambulances at this time.
Update: 8:05 am – Patient extricated from the vehicle. Trooper 4 en route.
