Police: Four Charged After Armed Carjacking In Wilmington

Wilmington Police have arrested and charged one Wilmington man and three juveniles from Chester, Pennsylvania, in connection with a carjacking incident, according to authorities.

Officials said on December 1 at approximately 1:08 p.m., police were called to the 300 block of Barrett Street in reference to an armed carjacking that had occurred.

Approximately 10 minutes later, patrol officers observed the stolen vehicle, stopping the car in the area of 16th Street and Northeast Boulevard. Four occupants of the vehicle fled, but all were taken into custody without incident.

The front-seat passenger of the vehicle, 20-year-old Davine Boyce, was found to be in possession of a loaded 9mm handgun with an extended magazine and an obliterated serial number, officials said. He has been charged with the following offenses:

Robbery (First Degree)
Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony
Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited
Possession of a Firearm with an Obliterated Serial Number
Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon
Possession of a Firearm in a School Zone
Criminal Mischief (Over $5,000)
Conspiracy (Second Degree)
Resisting Arrest

Boyce was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $124,000 cash-only bail.

The driver of the vehicle, a 17-year-old male resident of Chester, Pennsylvania, has been charged with the following offenses, in addition to traffic violations:

Robbery (First Degree)
Wearing a Disguise During a Felony
Criminal Mischief (Over $5,000)
Conspiracy (Second Degree)
Resisting Arrest

He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $27,300 cash-only bail.

The two back-seat passengers of the vehicle, both 16-year-old male residents of Chester, Pennsylvania, were charged with resisting arrest. Both were arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and released on $2,000 unsecured bail.
