Troopers: Woman Struck And Killed By Hit-And-Run Driver Identified

Georgetown– The Delaware State Police have identified the name of the pedestrian who died in a crash on Monday, December 23, 2019, as 44-year-old Katrina M. Hudson of Millsboro, Delaware.

The crash continues to remain under investigation by the Delaware State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit and anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to contact Cpl/1 A. Mitchell at 302-703-3267.

Georgetown – The Delaware State Police are investigating a fatal hit and run crash involving a pedestrian in which the striking vehicle fled the scene, according to Director of Public Information, Sergeant Richard Bratz.

Bratz said the incident occurred on Monday, December 23, 2019, at approximately 8:11 p.m., when an unknown vehicle was traveling westbound on Zoar Road west of Fieldwood Drive and struck a 44-year-old female of Millsboro. The pedestrian was on foot within the westbound travel lane of Zoar Road. The suspect vehicle continued traveling westbound on Zoar Road and fled the scene in an unknown direction.

The pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the collision scene. She was dressed in dark clothing and there are no street lights in the area where the collision occurred. At this time, it is unknown if alcohol was a factor in this collision.

Zoar Road was closed for approximately five hours while the crash was investigated and cleared.
