Two Men Shot Sitting On A Porch In Dover

 

The Dover Police Department is investigating a shooting incident that left two men hospitalized, according to M/Cpl. Mark Hoffman, Public Information Officer.

Hoffman said the incident occurred at approximately 2:47 Monday morning, December 30th, when the victims, a 19-year-old man, and a 30-year-old man,  were approached by 5 to 6 unknown male suspects while they were on a porch of a residence in the 100 Block of S. New Street.

The subjects fired multiple times at the victims before fleeing on foot towards S. Queen Street. The victims were each struck in the legs. Both were transported to Kent General Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact the Dover Police Department at (302)736-7130. Callers may remain anonymous.
