Army Combat Engineer Killed In Syria Arrives In Dover Tuesday Morning

Earlier this morning, Jan. 28, 2020, a U.S. Army carry team transferred the remains of Specialist Antonio I. Moore, of Wilmington, North Carolina,  at Dover Air Force Base.

Moore, a 22-year-old Army Reserve combat engineer, died on Friday, January 24, 2020, in Deir ez Zor Province, Syria, during a rollover accident while conducting route clearing operations as part of Operation Inherent Resolve, the Pentagon said over the weekend.

Moore was assigned to the 363rd Engineer Battalion, 411th Engineer Brigade, Knightdale, North Carolina. This was his first deployment.

The incident is under investigation.
