The New Castle County Police have listed last week’s reported stabbing incident in Sparrow Run as an Aggravated Assault.
On Wednesday, December 29, 2019, New Castle County Police along with rescue crews from the Christiana Fire Company and New Castle County Paramedics responded to the unit block of Raven Turn for reports of a stabbing.
Sources familiar with the incident tell First State Update that county officers applied a tourniquet to one patient before rescue crews arrived on scene. That patient was later transported to the trauma center with undetermined injuries.
Reports of a second stabbing victim in a nearby home have not been confirmed.
A week after the incident County Police has listed the incident on CrimeMapping.com as a Non-Family Aggravated Assault.
Police have not released any additional details surrounding the incident.
