Wilmington – At around 12:10 this afternoon Wilmington Police and Fire, along with crews from St. Francis and New Castle County Medics responded to the 1200 block of Chestnut Street for reports of a shooting.

Arriving crews found one person suffering from a gunshot wound. That patient is being transported to an area trauma center for treatment.
Police remain on scene investigating the incident.
