The Dover Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Unit is investigating the shooting death of a 19-year-old male from the Dover area that occurred early Friday morning, according to M/Cpl. Mark Hoffman, Public Information Officer.
Hoffman said at approximately 2:55 am, officers responded to Country Club Apartments off of Forrest Avenue for a report of shots fired. Officers en route to the scene were advised that there was a person lying in an area near Building Q at the apartment complex.
Arriving officers found Jamil Green suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Green was unconscious at the time he was located and pronounced deceased on scene by medical personnel.
