Police: Man Held On Attempted Murder Charges After Violent Stabbing Thursday

Earlier this morning patrol officers from the New Castle County Division of Police were dispatched to the unit block Deville Circle, in the community of Farrand Village Apartments, for a report of an assault that just had occurred with a weapon, according to police.

Officials said the 52-year-old victim of the assault was able to name the suspect who stabbed him, 45-year-old Peter Domingo.

When the officers arrived at the scene, they located Domingo outside of the apartment and placed him into custody. The victim was found lying inside of the apartment suffering from multiple stab wounds to his head and upper torso area.

The victim was stabilized by New Castle County Paramedics and transported to a local hospital in stable condition.

Peter Domingo was transported to New Castle County Police Headquarters where he was charged with one count of Felony Attempted Murder, one count of Felony Possession of a Deadly Weapon During the Commission of a Felony and one count of Felony Burglary 1st.

He was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2 and held in lieu of $220,000 cash bail.
