Troopers Investigating Drive By Shooting At New Castle Go Kart Track Monday Night

New Castle – The Delaware State Police are investigating a shots fired incident that occurred at approximately 7:50 p.m., Monday, February 10, 2020 at Mid-Atlantic Grand Prix, located at 4060 N. DuPont Hwy., New Castle, according to Public Information Officer, Master Corporal Michael Austin.

Austin said as the business was closing an unknown type of vehicle drove past the front and an unknown suspect fired two rounds, which struck the front wall and a front window. At the time the shooting occurred two customers who had just exited were standing in front of the business and two employees were inside.

None of the four subjects were struck or sustained any injuries. After the shooting, the vehicle fled in an unknown direction. Troopers did recover two 9mm shell casings from the scene. At this time there is no suspect description nor a motive for the shooting.
