Fire Marshals Investigating Tuesday Afternoon House Fire

 

The Delaware Office of the State Fire Marshal is investigating this afternoon’s residential dwelling fire that damaged an unoccupied dwelling in Lincoln, Delaware Tuesday, according to Chief Deputy State Fire Marshal John Galaska.

Galaska said the fire, reported shortly after 12:30 pm, occurred to a dwelling in the 9000 block of Greentop Road. The Ellendale Fire Company arrived on the scene and found flames coming from the front of the structure. Firefighters from surrounding fire companies also responded to assist at the scene.

Fire damage is estimated at $15,000. Galaska said that there were no reported injuries and the fire’s origin and cause is still under investigation.
