Dover Air Force Base Pharmacy Closes Due To Possible COVID-19 Exposure

Dover Air Force Base closes its pharmacy due to possible exposure to COVID-19.

The move was announced  In a statement released on Thursday.

“Out of an abundance of caution related to possible COVID-19 exposure and in line with the DoD and CDC guidelines, your wing leadership team decided that effective April 2, 2020, The base pharmacy will be temporarily closed to all beneficiaries.

Based on ongoing public health assessments, we believe the pharmacy will be closed for approximately one week. We will continue to monitor the situation as it develops and keep #TeamDover and all our community members informed of possible restrictions to access in the future. I understand that this decision may cause financial hardship and inconvenience for many of you. Thank you for your continued cooperation and flexibility during the unprecedented times. We are making every effort to continue serving our community while ensuring the health and safety of Team Dover. -Col. Matthew Jones
