Facebook Group Shows Support For Wilmington Police Officers

A couple of moms turn to their Facebook group to show support for the Wilmington Police.

Wanting to show their support for first responders, the pair asked members of the Hockessin Gossip Girls Facebook group if they would be willing to donate anything to help out.  With over 4,100 members the response was overwhelmingly positive.

On Wednesday the moms visited Wilmington Police Headquarters and dropped off enough food for 110 first responders for the next three days. The group also delivered four boxes of Lularoe Leggings donated to the women, wives, and daughters of the officers. The card they dropped off with the food was signed by many of the group’s members.

Although the name is Hockessin Gossip Girls the group has members from across New Castle County.

The group says they have plans to donate to first responders again in the near future.
