Man Struck By Gunfire As He Entered Home Early Tuesday

Magnolia- The Delaware State Police are investigating a shooting incident that occurred early this morning, according to Public Information Officer, Master Corporal Melissa Jaffe.

Jaffe said the incident occurred on June 23, 2020, at approximately 2:39 a.m., when Troopers were dispatched to Lambert Drive, Meadowbrook Acers, Magnolia, in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival, it was discovered that a 24-year-old male, of Harrington, had been shot in the stomach. The man was struck by gunfire when he was entering his acquaintance’s residence, according to Jaffe. The shots were fired from outside, added Jaffe. The victim was transported to a local area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

There is no suspect information at this time.
