Newark Police Reporting Shots Fired On Madison Drive Overnight

On Monday evening, June 29, 2020, at about 11:19, Newark Police responded to the unit block of Madison Drive for a report of shots fired. Officers contacted residents in the area who reported hearing arguing in the area between two houses. Officers located shell casings between the residences.

Witnesses described seeing two black males running from the scene. One male was described as 18-20 years of age, 5’10” and wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt and blue pants. He was armed with a handgun. The second male was described as 5’10” and wearing a tan coat and black hooded sweatshirt.

No one was injured during this incident.
