Police Investigating Sexual Assault In Brandywine Park

Wilmington Police are assisting the Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control/Natural Resources Police in reference to a sexual assault investigation.

Officials said on May 29 at approximately 8:30 a.m., a sexual assault occurred in Brandywine Park in the area of North Park Drive and the Washington Street overpass.

The Wilmington Police Criminal Investigations Division is assisting DNREC Natural Resources Police with the investigation, which is ongoing at this time.

DNREC Natural Resources Police and Wilmington Police remind members of the public to be vigilant about their surroundings, and to report any suspicious activity to police.
