Dover Police Release Photos Of ATM Robbery Suspect, Shots Fired Incident

The Dover Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that took place at an outdoor ATM at the Wells Fargo Bank located at 100 North DuPont Highway, according to Sergeant Mark Hoffman, Public Information Officer.

Hoffman said at approximately 2:39 AM on Thursday morning, a man was withdrawing cash from the ATM when he was approached by a black male suspect on foot.

The suspect pointed a gun at the victim and demanded money causing the victim to drop his wallet, according to Hoffman. The victim fled eastbound across DuPont Highway and the suspect fired at least three shots at him. The victim was not struck, but one round did strike a parked vehicle in the area.

The victim observed the suspect enter a vehicle behind the bank and flee southbound with an undisclosed amount of cash from the victim.
