Hockessin Crash Claims The Life Of Teen Early Monday, Five Others Evaluated

At approximately 1:25 this morning, New Castle County Paramedics and surrounding fire companies were dispatched to the area of Old Wilmington Road and Brackenville Road for a motor vehicle crash, according to Paramedic Corporal Yvonne Russell.

Upon arrival, New Castle County Paramedics found six total patients. The first patient, a 17-year-old-female, succumbed to her injuries after advanced life support interventions.

The second patient, an 18-year-old-female, sustained injuries to her arm and abdomen. The patient was transported via Cranston Heights Fire Company ambulance.

The third and fourth patients, a 17-year-old-female and an 18-year-old-female showed no signs of injuries however were evaluated and transported by Mill Creek Fire Company ambulance.

The fifth patient, a 17-year-old-female, sustained injuries to her arm. The patient was transported via Elsmere Fire Company ambulance.

The sixth patient, an 18-year-old-female, sustained injuries to her arm and declined transport to the hospital.

The transported patients were transported to Christiana Hospital in care of emergency medical technicians and in stable condition at the time of transport.

New Castle County Police Department is investigating the crash.
