Police Now Reporting Fifth Victim After Deadly Overnight Shootings

Wilmington Police are investigating two separate incidents that left two dead and three others hospitalized.

Officials said at approximately 1:57 a.m. officers responded to the 900 block of North Lombard Street for reports of a shooting.

At that location, officers found located a 24-year-old male gunshot victim, who was transported to the hospital in critical condition.

This incident remains under investigation and further details will be released when possible.

Hours earlier at approximately 10:55 p.m. Tuesday, officers responded to the 1100 block of Beech Street for reports that multiple people shot.

Arriving officers found four gunshot victims: a 17-year-old male and a 23-year-old female who both succumbed to their injuries, and an 18-year-old male and a 26-year-old male who are both listed in stable condition.
