Police: Woman Sought For Theft From A Disabled Person

Newark Police are searching for Terralyn Jackson-Whitehead, 27, who has prior addresses in Dover and New Castle, as well as Philadelphia, PA. Jackson-Whitehead is wanted for theft and unlawful use of a credit card from a patient for whom she was responsible for providing care, according to Newark Police.

Officials said in November 2019, Newark Police were notified by another caregiver of a disabled Newark resident that there was suspicious activity on the victim’s credit card. The victim, who resides in the 400 block of Stamford Drive, confirmed that she did not authorize multiple transactions that were found on her credit card. Newark Police developed evidence that her caregiver at the time, Terralyn Jackson-Whitehead, used the victim’s credit card to make various purchases for the benefit of herself and not the victim, according to police.

In March 2020, Newark Police obtained a warrant from Justice of the Peace Court #2 charging Terralyn Jackson-Whitehead with three counts each of Felony Theft from a Disabled Adult and Unlawful Use of a Payment Card.

Anyone with information about Jackson-Whitehead’s location is asked to contact Sgt. G. Micolucci at (302) 366-7100 x. 3412 or [email protected].
