Shots Fired At Concord Pike Hotel Was A Gunfight

Wilmington- On Wednesday, July 29, 2020, at approximately 4:27 p.m., Troopers responded to the Days Inn located at 5209 Concord Pike, Wilmington, DE 19803 for a report of a shots fired incident, according to Public Information Officer, Master Corporal Melissa Jaffe.

Jaffe said the investigation determined a black male suspect and three other unknown suspects exchanged gunfire at one another in the South parking lot of the motel. The black male suspect is seen running back into a motel room and then exiting quickly before fleeing the scene in black Chrysler 300. The three unknown suspects fled the scene on foot. Troopers located 12 shell casings at the scene.

At this time there have been no reported injuries as a result of this incident. Also, there are currently no surveillance images available. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact Delaware State Police Troop 2 Detective Lloyd at 302-365-8411.
