Triple Shooting In New Castle Late Saturday Leaves One Dead

Last evening, July 4th, Officers from New Castle County Police (NCCPD) were notified that three adult males suffering gunshot wounds had been transported to a local hospital.

Officers were able to ascertain that the incident occurred in the community of Rosegate, during a large gathering in the area of Rosegate Park.

Officials did not release the time or actual location, however, First State Update has learned that at least one ambulance was dispatched to the unit block of Thorn Court at 11:09 PM. Thorn Court is about a block away from the park.

NCCPD Detectives from the Criminal Investigations Unit arrived on the scene and assumed the investigation.

As of today, July 5th, officials said one of the victims succumbed to his wounds.
