Delmarva Power Update, Fewer Than 2,000 Customers Remain Without Service

Delmarva Power crews continue efforts to restore all remaining New Castle County customers impacted by last week’s severe storm damage. Since last Friday, Delmarva Power crews have restored electric service for nearly 12,000 or 90 percent of customers impacted by last week’s extreme weather event.

As of 11:00 a.m., crews are responding to outages impacting fewer than 2,000 customers who are still without service.  Delmarva Power is now in the final stages of restoring service for affected customers, with more than 1,000 lineworkers and support personnel, as well as additional back office personnel, supporting this restoration effort.

Delmarva Power is on track to restore service for all customers affected by this weather event by this evening. However, most customers will have their service restored before then.

As work progresses throughout the day, we will distribute an additional update on our progress leading into the evening hours.

Again, we appreciate our customers’ patience as crews work safely to restore service as quickly as possible.

Footage of current assessment work and information on our restoration process are available online on the Delmarva Power SOURCE page.
