Milford- The Delaware State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal crash involving a single vehicle that occurred in the limits of Milford, according to Public Information Officer, Master Corporal Melissa Jaffe.
Jaffe said the crash occurred on August 2, 2020 at approximately 6:30 a.m., when a 2006 Ford Five Hundred was traveling northbound on S. DuPont Boulevard approaching Buccaneer Boulevard. For unknown reasons, the vehicle drifted and exited the paved portion of the highway, where it struck a large steel traffic light support post.
The operator, a 19-year-old male from Coatesville, PA, was not properly restrained and pronounced deceased at the scene. His name is being withheld at this time pending the notification of next of kin.
The Milford Police Department requested assistance from the Delaware State Police, Troop 3 Collision Reconstruction Unit (CRU), who are continuing to investigate this crash.
Northbound S. DuPont Boulevard was closed for approximately 3.5 hours while the crash was investigated and cleared.

Milford – Just after 6:30 Sunday morning, rescue crews from the Carlisle, Frederica, and Houston Fire Companies along with Kent County Medics and Delaware State Police responded to 100 Aerenson Drive for reports of a vehicle accident with entrapment.
Arriving crews reported a single-vehicle into a utility pole with the driver heavily trapped in the vehicle.
