Pedestrian Struck On Route 40 Late Tuesday

At approximately 10:00 last evening, New Castle County Paramedics and surrounding fire companies were dispatched to the 1600 block of Pulaski Highway for a pedestrian struck, according to Paramedic Corporal Yvonne Russell.

Russell said upon arrival, New Castle County Paramedics found the patient, an 18-year-old-male, in care of fire personnel. The patient suffered injuries to his head, legs, and arms. He was transported to Christiana Hospital via Christiana Fire Company ambulance accompanied by New Castle County Paramedics in stable condition.

Delaware State Police is investigating the crash.
