Woman Killed Assessing Storm Damage Tuesday Morning

Milford – On Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at approximately 11:45 a.m., Troopers responded to North Shore Drive in Milford, in reference to a deceased adult female.

The investigation is in the early stages, however, no foul play is suspected and believed to be storm-related, according to Delaware State Police Public Information Officer, Senior Corporal Heather Pepper. The victim was outside assessing storm damage and was struck with a tree branch that fell from a tree.

The victim will be turned over to the Delaware Division of Forensic Science where an autopsy will be performed to determine the cause and manner of death.
