Guard Training At NCC Airport Next Week, Don’t Be Alarmed

The 166th Airlift Wing is scheduled to conduct a week-long training scenario at the Delaware Air National Guard Base, at New Castle County Airport, September 14 – 18, 2020.

The scheduled exercise will provide members of the Delaware National Guard with critical training for deployed environments and potential threats to service members.

During the scheduled exercise, the 166th AW will implement increased simulated force protection conditions, base activities, voice notifications and other out of the ordinary actions can be expected to be seen or heard from the public, off base.

“This kind of training is imperative for our members,” said Col. Carla Riner, 166th AW commander. “Our Airmen constantly train for the times where they are inevitably needed, and this effort provides an excellent opportunity for our Airmen to stay current on contingency planning for various scenarios.”
