Just In: Two Seriously Injured In Kent County Crash, Two Helos On Scene

Hartly – Just after 11:00 this morning rescue crews from Hartly, Marydel, Cheswold, and Clayton along with Kent County Medics and Delaware State Police Aviation’s Trooper 4 were dispatched to Lockwood Chapel Road and Arthursville Road, just north of Hartly, for a motor vehicle accident with entrapment.

While en route crews learned that at least one patient was trapped and another my have been partially ejected.

Upon arrival, crews confirmed entrapment with possibly three patients. After accessing the incident Command confirmed that two patients were in very serious condition. Command then asked for Trooper 2 to respond as well.

Just before 11:30 crews reported that the extrication was complete.

Just before 12:00 both helicopters lifted off and are en route to the Trauma Center at Christiana Hospital.
