Police Release Suspect Photos In Newark Main Street Home Invasion

The Newark Police Department has released suspect photos of two men believed to be involved in an August home invasion on Main Street, police said Friday.

Original Story

On August 10, 2020, at about 1:33 pm, Newark Police responded to a residence in the 100 block of West Main Street for a report of a home invasion robbery. Three residents were home at the time of the robbery, but only one was confronted by the suspects.

The male victim reported that two black males entered the residence through the front door. One suspect held the victim at gunpoint while the other suspect went into a bedroom. It is unknown what, if any, property was taken at the time of the robbery. Both suspects, who appeared to be in their 20’s, left within a minute in an unknown direction. No suspect vehicle was observed.

A K-9 from the Elkton, MD Police Department assisted but was unable to track the suspects.
