Police Say Two Shot Sunday Night In Elsmere

On Sunday, September 20, 2020, at approximately 8:45 hours Elsmere Police and New Castle County Police responded to the unit block of Tamarack Avenue for a shooting.

Elsmere Police Chief Laura said upon arrival, officers located one male subject that was suffering from a gunshot wound.

The victim was transported to Christiana ER where he was later released.

Approximately two hours later another male victim responded to the Christiana ER by private vehicle suffering from two gunshots to his lower extremities. This victim was also later released. Both male victims are in their early 20’s.

Breaking Report

Elsmere –  Just before 9:00 Sunday evening rescue crews from the Elsmere and Cranston Heights Fire Companies along with New Castle County Paramedics responded to the unit block of Tamarack Avenue in Elsmere Gardens for reports of a shooting.

Last evening sources told First State Update that one victim in their 20’s was down but was alive. Several reports on social media that there were three shots heard in the area match what our sources are telling us.
