Man Charged In Armed Robbery Of Dover 7-11, Released On Unsecured Bond

The Dover Police Department has made an arrest in the armed robbery that occurred at the 7-11 store on North DuPont Highway on Tuesday night, according to Public Information Office Sergeant Mark Hoffman.

Hoffman said at approximately 11:56 p.m., two male suspects entered the business with one suspect demanding cash from an employee while displaying a handgun. The employee handed over an undisclosed amount of cash and the suspects both fled the scene in an unknown direction.

On Thursday Dover Police said they arrested Alphonzo Barlow, 54 of Dover, in connection with the robbery. Barlow was identified by detectives during the investigation and arrested without incident on October 28th. He was charged with Robbery 1st Degree and Conspiracy 2nd Degree. He was then released on an unsecured bond on both charges.

Suspect 2 is still at large and is described as a Black male, black face covering, green head covering, blue jacket, blue jeans, and brown shoes/boots.
