Police: Four Suspects Detained After Robbery, Crash

The Wilmington Police (WPD) have detained four suspects in reference to a robbery that occurred Thursday morning, according to WPD Spokesman David Karas.

Karas said Wilmington Police were dispatched to the 3300 block of North Jefferson Street around 10:45 a.m. in reference to a robbery that had occurred.

Police officers on patrol in the area located a suspect vehicle and attempted to conduct a motor vehicle stop. The vehicle fled from officers and was recovered a short time later after it crashed in the area of 8th and West Streets.

Police detained four suspects pending further investigation. There were no apparent injuries in relation to this incident.

The investigation remains ongoing at this time, said Karas.
