Two Dead After Shooting At Minquadale-Area Restaurant Friday

New Castle- Delaware State Police Homicide Unit is investigating a shooting incident that occurred earlier this morning that left two Wilmington men dead, according to Public Information Officer, Master Corporal Heather Pepper.

Pepper said the preliminary investigation revealed at approximately 1:02 a.m., on October 2, 2020, troopers responded to a shooting in the parking lot of Casablanca restaurant located at 4010 North DuPont Highway, New Castle. Upon arrival, troopers located a 28-year-old male from Wilmington with a gunshot wound to the upper body. Shortly after, it was discovered a 30-year-old male from Wilmington suffered a gunshot wound to his upper body and was transported from the scene to a nearby hospital by private vehicle where he was pronounced deceased.

The names of the victims are pending notification to next of kin.
