Just In: Pedestrian Struck By DART Bus In Newark

Newark – Newark Police are investigating an accident involving DART Transit bus and a pedestrian.

At around 9:20 Monday morning rescue crews from Aetna Hose, Hook, and Ladder along with New Castle County Paramedic and Trooper 4 were dispatched to the Newark Transit Hub at 250 E Delaware Avenue for reports that a pedestrian had been struck by a DART bus.

At this early stage, it’s not clear how badly the patient was injured. Paramedics and Trooper 4 were cleared off the accident shortly after the patient was evaluated.

It’s believed that the patient was transported to Christiana Hospital.

Newark Police and a DART Transit supervisor also responded to the scene and are currently investigating the incident.
