Man Charged With Pulling Knife On Victims, Released On Unsecured Bond

Wilmington- The Delaware State Police have charged 53-year-old Marvin Hair of Wilmingtonwith Aggravated Menacing after he threatened two victims with a knife, officials said Sunday.

Police said the incident occurred on November 28, 2020, at approximately 2:44 a.m., when Troopers responded to Speedy Gas located at 1607 Philadelphia Pike, Wilmington in reference to a 18-year-old male victim and a 37-year-old female victim who were having an altercation with Hair in the parking lot. Hair who was intoxicated and uncooperative with troopers was detained during the course of the investigation. Further investigation determined Hair was having an argument with the victims inside of a vehicle and they pulled into the Speedy Gas to calm him down. During the altercation in the parking lot, Hair jumped into the driver’s seat and demanded the car keys. The victims refused, so Hair removed a knife from his pocket and displayed it at the victims. The male victim was able to disarm Hair and wait until police arrived on scene. The victims were not injured during the incident.

Hair was transported back to Troop 1 where he was charged with the following:

Aggravated Menacing (Felony) – 2 counts
Hair was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court #11 and released on $2,000 unsecured bond.
